OUR PHILOSOPHY
Casale Valigi is situated in the beautiful region of Umbria an hour from Rome and is located on the ridge of a hill with breathtaking view of the medieval village of Narni.
Every space has been preserved to keep the historical charm of the original rural structure of the 1800s sympathetically adding our own touch.
In each part of the building we have integrated the old with new using natural local materials; the terracotta floor tiles of Castel Viscardo were made from our own design, the iron work forged by local artisans joins the crystal pieces in the staircase surrounded by old surrounding stones and illuminated by the ‘moon’ of the famous designer Davide Groppi. In the rooms the ancient linen, the natural pillows in spelt chaff, the hand-made terracotta washbasins by ceramists Ripa Bianca are the fruits of passion of research.
Following tradition, natural lime is used to paint the walls satisfying our desire to reduce the presence of chemicals. In the restoration we were careful to make the structure sustainable with wood-burning stoves, plant photovoltaic and rainwater collection.
The saltwater pool surrounded by olive trees and medicinal plants along with the large garden with a pergola of ancient roses and other well furnished spaces are the ideal place for total relaxation. Contemporary choices of quality furniture from international designers are combined with tasteful objects of ancient charm, fine works of traditional art with touches of the modern.

THE HOUSE
Casale Valigi has all the comforts you can expect from a luxurious home.
The farmhouse offers 16 beds, 12 within the six rooms of the farmhouse with the possibility of an additional 2 beds and 2 in the independent barn. All are en-suite with private bathroom.
In the farmhouse, the iron and crystal staircase leads to the first floor where five double rooms are located with the atmosphere and warmth of the old house. The room located on the ground floor has independent and direct access to the garden and is equipped with handicap facilities.
On the ground floor of the barn, you will find a large living room with a wood-burning stove and a double bed in the loft. All rooms of the farmhouse and barn are equipped with air conditioning, Wi-Fi and the rooms are fitted with mosquito nets.
The ground floor of the farmhouse is the perfect place to spend and share time with family and friends relaxing and drinking a glass of wine in one of the bright salons. The professional stainless steel kitchen is the ideal place for both professional chefs and for simple lovers of good food.
The dining room houses a large modern design oak wooden table by Miniforms surrounded by original stone walls. The handmade terracotta floor made by local artisans keeps intact the atmosphere of its time as a stable, today connected with an orangery overlooking the garden.
Near the farmhouse and the barn, you will find a third structure with a yoga room and small gym where you can take care of your well-being.
